HOW TO GET YOUR HOUSE READY TO SELL

Five minor details the make a major difference.

1- The Home Front

The Exterior Curb appeal encompasses everything from the street to your doorstep. Landscaping, doorways, siding, mailbox and light fixtures all need to be in working order, clean and freshly painted if needed.  The home front is the first impression a potential buyer takes in when touring the home.  Make it a good one.

2- Focus on the Model Home Effect

Focus on the model home effect. The best way to make a buyer feel at home is to create an environment like one found in a model home. It allows the buyer to visualize the space against a neutral backdrop.  In other words less is more.  The seller removing as much items from the house as possible allows the buyer to see themselves there.

3- Interior Appeal

Appeal to the senses such as lighting, color, sound, and smell. Removing strong personal statements will help potential buyers visualize living there. The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the house. Make sure this room is virtually spotless and smells fresh.  The second most important room in the house is the bathrooms.

4- Showings and Photos

When preparing for photos of your home, make sure to remove knick knacks that are smaller then the size of a football and personal photos. This will create clean lines in the home.  Photos are very important.  Photos are what bring potential buyers into the house and leads to showing, which leads to a sell.
